An embedded gem and a method for embedding a gem are disclosed. An embedded gem includes a first gem 122 and a second gem 102. The first gem 122 includes a recess 202. The recess 202 has an opening at the location of the table 130. The first gem 122 has a first diameter. The second gem 102 is coupled to the first gem. The second gem 102 has a second diameter that is less than the first diameter of the first gem 122. The resistive fit within the recess 202 of the first gem 122 couples the first gem 122 to the second gem 102. At least a portion of the second gem 102 is within the recess 202.
