Provided is a technique for efficiently performing processing for handling three-dimensional point group position data obtained from different perspectives. A projection setting surface (500) having the same normal vector as a surface (401) included in a plurality of surfaces constituting an object to be measured is set in a measurement space as an element for characterizing the surface (401), and another surface which includes the surface (401) is projected onto the projection setting surface (500). At such a time, the distance between each of the surfaces and the projection setting surface (500) is calculated by the lattice points of the projection setting surface (500), and the matrix data thereof serves as a distance image for characterizing the surface (401). This distance image is also created for the other surface, and is further created for the surface seen from another perspective. The distance images at the two perspectives are compared against each other, and the combination of surfaces obtained by the pair of distance images where the difference therebetween is the smallest serves as the corresponding surface at the two perspectives.
