The magnetometer has a magnetic circuit with magnetic cores (102, 104). An exciting winding (410) is formed of a succession of conductor elements connected in series and has flat conductive zones parallel to each other. The elements are respectively formed of a conductive part forming a closed contour enclosing the cores and conductor links (418, 419) connected to the part. The elements have two of the zones, one of which is placed in a plane orthogonal to a main plane of a substrate. A detection winding (420) is formed of a succession of conductor turns connected in series along the cores.
