The steam turbine (1) has a housing (2) and a rotatably supported rotor (3). The rotor has a delivery pipe (7) after a delivery layer (41), where the delivery pipe is provided for delivering the flow medium into an interior (8) of the rotor. A set of layers (4) is provided in a flow channel (5). The rotor is designed such that the rotor allows the flow medium to flow upstream (12) within the rotor to a turning point (11), and flow downstream after the turning point, and flow into the flow channel over an exhausting pipe (14).
