Disclosed are a box-shaped structural member for engineering machinery, a boom system and engineering machinery. The box-shaped structural member for engineering machinery comprises a structural member body, structural member body forming a central cavity; the central cavity is filled with sandwiched materials having a density smaller than that of the material of the structural member body; and the density of the sandwiched materials depends on the materials chosen as required. The materials selected can be foam materials, which can in turn be rigid foam materials. Since the sandwiched materials have lower specific weight, the box-shaped structural member filled with the sandwiched materials has a limited increase in weight. Meanwhile, the sandwiched materials have a corresponding elastic modulus, thereby having good absorption properties against impact and vibration; the box-shaped structural member is formed into a solid structure by filling the central cavity of the box-shaped structural member with the sandwiched materials; and the strength of the box-shaped structural member is greatly improved.
