The present invention involves a method, device and terminal of detecting primary synchronization signals based on pre-processing. The method includes: acquiring a primary synchronization signal (PSS) and pre-processing the PSS; pre-processing a local sequence; performing a gliding correlation of the pre-processed PSS and local sequence; and computing the amplitude or power of the result of the gliding correlation and performing a peak search, and obtaining the synchronization location and the cell ID corresponding to the PSS. The present invention pre-processes the PSS and the local sequence respectively, and then performs the gliding correlation of the pre-processed PSS and local sequence, and computes the amplitude or power and searches the peak location according to the result of the gliding correlation. Thus the influence of frequency offset is eliminated and the performance of primary synchronization signal detection is improved, in the premise of not increasing the detecting complexity.
