Provided is a branched-chain polyalkylene carbonate diol having hydroxyl groups at two molecular terminals, which is a liquid at the conventional working environment temperature (such as approximately 50ºC) and does not require exposure to excess heat in order to retain an extremely low viscosity during use, also provided are various copolymers thereof and a method for producing the same. Also provided are highly light-resistant polyurethane resins, coating agent compositions, and polyurethane resin films that use the branched-chain polyalkylene carbonate diol and various copolymers thereof. The following are provided: branched-chain polyalkylene carbonate diol that has a specific repeating unit molecular structure and hydroxyl groups at two molecular terminals; various copolymers thereof and a method for producing the same; and polyurethane resins, coating agent compositions, and polyurethane resin films that use the branched-chain polyalkylene carbonate diol and various copolymers thereof.
