Disclosed are a cloud computing-based system and method for the management and control of an electricity generator set. The system comprises: an Internet of Things onsite controller, used for setting a normal operation parameter of the electricity generator set and for the management and control of an operation mode of the electricity generator set on the basis of the normal operation parameter, an Internet of Things onsite data collector, used for collecting an actual operation parameter of the electricity generator set, and a cloud computing device management and control platform, used for adjusting a management and control mode of the Internet of Things onsite controller on the basis of the actual operation parameter and the normal operation parameter of the electricity generator set. The method is implemented by using the system. The present invention allows for compatibility with electricity generator set management and control platforms of all different manufactures, and for centralized management and control of multiple objects on a unified platform, thus implementing optimized configuration of operation states of the apparatus.
