The invention relates to a device for interactively protecting a person's vital signs and to a weapon and method for immobilising and capturing the person, using said device. The device is intended to protect a person's vital functions and is preferably, but not exclusively, intended for weapons of the type used to immobilise and capture a person, which apply electric shocks or other emissions to the body in order to immobilise the person, but while simultaneously providing protection against the effects of the electric shock. The device comprises sensors that detect the person's vital signs and signal-processing circuits that control the blocking and/or regulation of the electric shock discharged from the weapon at the moment of use.
