The invention provides a method of synchronization in a communication system, the method comprising the steps of:- determining (S1) a time delay on the basis of pilots, and- processing (S2) data symbols using said time delay, characterized in that the method further comprises the steps of:- processing (S3) said data symbols using at least one further time delay comprising said time delay and at least one time offset, and- choosing (S4) one of said time delay or said at least one further time delay fulfilling a selection criterion of an algorithm.
