Disclosed is a method for maintaining the nuclear male sterility line of wheat cells: the seeds of the 4E monosomic alien addition lines of the obtained wheat with the genotype msms are blue grains, and selfing thereof results in normal fruiting, then approximately 64% white grains (nuclear sterility lines), 16% light blue grains, 16% medium blue grains and 4% dark blue grains (fertility lines) are separated from the resulting progenies. In the present invention the blue grain maintenance lines in the seedling stage are treated using a suitable concentration of a chemical hybridization agent SQ-1 so that the genetic transmission rate of heterotype male gametes is decreased to 0.2%, and at the same time, the self-fertility rate of the blue grain maintenance lines is only decreased by 3.2%-10.7% on average.
