The invention relates to an aspiration-based sampler for micrometric atmospheric particles deposited on traffic routes, comprising: an anti-static sampling tube, a deposition chamber which is connected at one of its two ends to the anti-static sampling tube, a horizontal elutriation system which is connected at one of its two ends to the other end of the deposition chamber, and a filter holder which is connected at one of its two ends to the other end of the horizontal elutriation system, such that the sample containing atmospheric particles deposited on a surface is drawn in through the anti-static sampling tube and, finally, the atmospheric particles having an average aerodynamic diameter equal to or less than a pre-determined value selected from between a value of 10 μm and 2.5 μm are collected in a filter for subsequent gravimetric and chemical characterisation.
