The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for saving time information and data to an open provenance model (OPM) and managing same by means of temporal ontology. The apparatus for managing the OPM, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: an OPM managing unit for receiving original data and generating the OPM information by using OPM; a temporal ontology interface unit for converting the OPM information that is generated into temporal ontology data; a temporal ontology managing unit for controlling search and saving of the temporal ontology data that is converted; and a temporal ontology saving unit for saving the temporal ontology data that is converted.
