The purpose of the present invention is to develop a structure for miniaturizing a power filter for radio frequency (RF) applications that has a large volume, such as a hexahedral brick which is currently in commonly used, into a panel shape so as to significantly reduce the size of the filter while maintaining or improving the performance thereof. The dual mode filter, metal cavity, ceramic dielectric resonator (DR) filter or the like which are currently used have a three-dimensional structure with a large size, and therefore have a shape of a hexahedron or sphere that still has large volume and size even when using a multi-mode resonator. In the present invention, a structure is developed in order to produce a two-dimensional filter which is close to a flat panel by significantly reducing the height of the filter using a panel-type DR at the sacrifice of lowered Q value, and the filter may resonate in a dual mode of pseudo TM110 mode and a hybrid mode, thus maximizing heat-dissipating effects while halving the number of resonators. Thus, the structures of the resonator and resonant pocket are miniaturized into a panel shape, and the sizes of the resonator and resonant pocket are well-suited to other devices of a communication system. Further, the specifications of the resonator and resonant pocket are well-suited in terms of function, thus enabling the resonator and resonant pocket to be easily applied to a variety of systems.
