Disclosed are a mirror imaging method, device and system for a platform video of a video monitoring system. The method comprises: after receiving a platform video mirror imaging request from a video monitoring system, sending a request to a streaming media server used for platform video recording to request obtaining real-time video code streams at a monitoring front end; receiving current real-time video code streams forwarded by the media server and used for real-time recording at the monitoring front end; and storing the mirror image of the received real-time video code streams at the monitoring front end. By adopting the method, the device and the system of the present invention, low-cost and real-time mirror image backup of the platform video is achieved.
