Disclosed are a method, device, and system for line asymmetry compensation. The method comprises: by establishing an outer ring synchronization session and an inner ring synchronization session, slave clock devices acquiring transmission timestamps thereof and same of a master clock device on a first path and a second path in an outer ring and an inner ring, where the first path and the second path constitute a ring network path; the slave clock devices determining, on the basis of the timestamps acquired, a transmission delay between selves and the master clock device on the first path and the second path, and transmitting to a network management device the transmission delay calculated; when the network management device is activating a standby link, on the basis of the path of the standby link, using the transmission delay on a corresponding path to determine an asymmetry compensation value of the standby link relative to an original primary link, and notifying the corresponding slave clock devices to perform a line compensation on the basis of the asymmetry compensation value. Employment of the present invention allows for implementation of automatic compensation for line asymmetry of same-cable optical fiber ring networks.
