PROTECTION METHOD AND SYSTEM UNDER ABNORMAL CONDITIONS IN UPGRADE GIGABIT PASSIVE OPTICAL NETWORK TERMINAL

The present invention discloses a protecting method for abnormal conditions in the upgrade of a Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) terminal, which includes: performing analysis in sequence of integrity, correctness and validity of a new version file downloaded to the GPON terminal, and after determining that the new version file is integral, correct and valid, writing the new version file; determining a verification for the new version according to an activation flow of an Optical Line Terminal (OLT), and completing the upgrade for the new version of the GPON terminal. Meanwhile, the present invention also discloses a protecting system for abnormal conditions in the upgrade of the Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) terminal. With the method and system, stability of remote upgrade of the GPON terminal can be improved, and thus maintainability and robustness of a GPON terminal system are improved.
