The present invention relates to a method for operating a wireless intrusion detection system which can collect information in multiple layers in order to collect and control information in the wireless intrusion detection system of a wired and wireless integration system. The present invention provides the wireless intrusion detection system of a wired and wireless integration system including: a plurality of first sensors for corresponding to a plurality of first APs, and sensing data transferred between the first APs and a wireless terminal wirelessly connected to the plurality of the first APs; a first manager for checking whether data packets provided from the first sensors are malicious and controlling the first sensors; a plurality of second sensors for corresponding to a plurality of second APs and sensing data transferred between the second APs and a wireless terminal wirelessly connected to the second APs; a second manager for checking whether data packets provided from the second sensors are malicious and controlling the second sensors; and an integrated manager for controlling the first and second managers, and the first and second sensors in order to perform sensor control, manager control, blocking terminal information and log storage, and integrated control.
