This solar power generation system is provided with: a plurality of solar cell strings, each of which has a plurality of solar cell modules connected therein; a plurality of measurement value acquiring units, each of which acquires a measurement value necessary to detect an abnormality of each of the solar cell strings; and at least one power conversion apparatus, which converts total power outputted from the solar cell strings. The number of the solar cell strings that correspond to the measurement value acquired by means of the measurement value acquiring unit is smaller than or equal to a value obtained by dividing, by the input number, the number of the solar cell strings that correspond to the total power to be converted by means of the power conversion apparatus.
