Methods, systems, and kits for the procurement of placental stem cells, comprising: a primary cord blood collection; introduction of a cord blood collection solution to the placenta, the cord blood collection solution comprising placental preservative base, a stem cell releasing agent, an antibiotic, and a vasodilator; transporting the primary cord blood collection and the re-filled placenta to a collection/processing center; performing a secondary collection; and storing the collections.
