An image pair submission/search device is provided with a processing control device and a storage device connected to the processing control device. The storage device is provided with an image database that stores at least image data and meta information. The processing control device is provided with: a submission processing means for recording, in the image database, image data and meta information of a stand-alone image related to knowledge about a problem inputted for submission, image data and meta information of a stand-alone image related to knowledge about a solution inputted for submission, or image data and meta information of stand-alone images related to knowledge about a problem and solution which constitute an image pair inputted for submission and searchable after submission; and a search processing means for searching for a search output image from among image data and meta information recorded in the image database, on the basis of the key image inputted for the search, and a specified type of search for searching for a stand-alone image related to the knowledge about the problem, a stand-alone image related to the knowledge about the solution, or an image pair related to the knowledge about the problem and solution.
