The ultrasound diagnostic equipment according to one embodiment: acquires ultrasound data by performing ultrasonic scanning of a subject via an ultrasound probe; generates and displays ultrasound images by using the ultrasound data; and is provided with a detection unit, a command generation unit and a control unit. The detection unit detects non-contact input instructions from an operator. The command generation unit generates input commands corresponding to the detected non-contact input instructions. The control unit controls the operation of the ultrasound diagnostic equipment in response to the generated commands.
