Provided is a vibration power generator, the output power of which is increased by improving capacitance obtained when the overlapped area between an electret electrode and an opposing electrode is maximized, while being equipped with a function of preventing the electric field from spreading from the electret electrode. The vibration power generator comprises: a first substrate and a second substrate configured so as to be relatively movable while maintaining a mutually facing and separate state; a first electrode formed on the first substrate; a second electrode formed on the second substrate so as to face the first electrode; and a third electrode formed on the first substrate in a region different from the first electrode. Either the first electrode or the second electrode includes a film that holds charge. When the overlap between the first electrode and the second electrode is minimum, the third electrode is in the grounded state. When the overlap between the first electrode and the second electrode is maximum, the third electrode is in the open state.
