A poly((meth)acrylic acid-b-styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) block copolymer latex and a preparation method therefor. An amphiphilic macromolecule reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer reagent is employed to serve both as a fragmentation chain transfer reagent and as a reactive emulsifier. The poly((meth)acrylic acid-b-styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) block copolymer latex that is stable can be acquired directly via an emulsion polymerization reaction. The present invention provides a simple process that is environmentally friendly and energy-saving, while the product, the poly((meth)acrylic acid-b-styrene-b-butadiene-b-styrene) block copolymer latex, has great application prospects in several fields such as modified asphalts, adhesives, and polymer toughening modifications.
