Provided are a high activity hydrogen desulfurization catalyst and preparation method thereof, the hydrogen desulfurization catalyst comprising a hydrogen desulfurization catalyst having CoMo, NiMo and NiW metal sulfide loaded on a porous zeolite, a hydrogen desulfurization catalyst having Co-Mo-Ni-W metal sulfide loaded on the porous zeolite, a hydrogen desulfurization catalyst containing F or B and having the CoMo, NiMo and NiW metal sulfide loaded on the porous zeolite, and a hydrogen desulfurization catalyst containing P and having the CoMo, NiMo and NiW metal sulfide loaded on the porous zeolite. The hydrogen desulfurization catalyst has better hydrogen desulfurization performance.
