[Problem] The present invention addresses the technical problem of developing a novel mattress of improved suitability for nursing and medical care, suitable for preventing pressure ulcers. [Solution] The present invention is characterized by being provided with: elastic forms comprising a base layer elastic form and an upper layer elastic form, formed into at least two layers; and a plurality of strips of a gel sheet, which are provided between the elastic forms and for which the length direction is set to a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the elastic forms; at least some of the upper layer elastic form disposed above the gel sheet, which is provided in an embedded state, being configured to be a form block narrower than the length dimension of the gel sheet so as to intersect with the surface of at least two adjacent pieces of the gel sheet.
