A theft detection reporting device (1) installed in a vehicle, comprising: a data storage part (11) for storing information distinguishing the legitimate user registered in advance; a wireless reception processing part (13a)(13) for acquiring information distinguishing the current user from a portable device carried by the current user and having a wireless communication function; a theft determination part (14) for comparing information distinguishing the legitimate user stored in the data storage part (11) and information distinguishing the current user acquired by the wireless reception processing part (13a)(13), and determining that the vehicle has been stolen when the result of comparing the two sets of information does not coincide at least a predetermined number of times; and a wireless transmission processing part (13b)(13) for reporting the vehicle theft when the vehicle is determined to have been stolen by the theft determination part (14); whereby there is no need for additional devices such as a sensor or an imaging device or the burden of expenses thereof, and the theft can be sensed and reported without the thief's knowledge.
