摘要

The present invention makes it possible to evaluate a user's speech-discrimination ability with high precision. A speech-discrimination-ability evaluation system obtains the following from a brain-wave signal from the user: an event-related electric potential starting at a point in time at which first speech outputted with a first frequency was outputted; an event-related electric potential starting at a point in time at which first speech outputted with a second frequency was outputted; an event-related electric potential starting at a point in time at which second speech outputted with the first frequency was outputted; and an event-related electric potential starting at a point in time at which second speech outputted with the second frequency was outputted. For both the first speech and the second speech, an MNN evaluation unit: acquires differential information on the difference between the event-related electric potential obtained when the speech in question was outputted at the first frequency and the event-related electric potential obtained when said speech was outputted at the second frequency; and evaluates whether or not said differential information contains a negative component in a prescribed time period after the speech was outputted. If the result of said evaluation indicates the presence of a negative component, a discrimination-ability evaluation unit evaluates the user as discriminating between the first and second speech.
