The method involves receiving at a current time point, by a communication device i.e. mobile phone (TM) of a user, a response to a request formulated by the user for an event corresponding to the beginning or the end of broadcast of part of predetermined contents e.g. TV programs, in a stream via a broadcast channel, where the response indicates occurrence of the event in a time interval shorter than a predetermined threshold and includes the time of reception of the response. The occurrence of the event is verified with information of the stream broadcasted via the broadcast channel. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for transmitting a notification relative to a stream broadcast via a broadcast channel (2) a communication device (3) a notification server.
