The small or medium bore machine cannon has a weapon tube (1) which is surrounded by a tube support. The tube support is mounted at the weapon support (2). The tube support is formed as the weapon tube comprising tube element (3) at all sides. The inner diameter of the tube element at a specified magnitude is greater than the outer diameter of the weapon tube.
