The present invention relates to components which consist of a material containing at least one refractory metal and include hard phases, and to a method for producing said components. In particular, the present invention relates to the use of a reactive gas in the selective laser melting process to increase the heat resistance of a component produced thereby from a material powder containing at least one refractory metal.
