PURPOSE: A coating composition for laser direct coating is provided to simplify process and to obtain economical effect and to obtain patterns by using low energy. CONSTITUTION: A coating composition for laser direct coating comprises 90-98 weight% of a based resin, 0.1-5 weight% of a seed forming agent, and 1.9-5 weight% of a laser absorbent. A laser direct structuring method comprises: a step of coating the coating composition to a base frame for laser direct structuring. The base resin comprises one or more selected from urethane resins and acrylic resins. The seed forming agent comprises one or more selected from copper salts and complexing agent.
