PURPOSE: A method for controlling an electric compressor of an air-conditioner for a vehicle is provided to enhance productivity by improving the driving performance and fuel efficiency of a vehicle and to reduce energy consumption and to improve driving convenience by preventing the operation noise of an electric compressor.;CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an electric compressor of an air-conditioner for a vehicle comprises following steps. Whether an air-conditioner of a hybrid vehicle is turned on or off is confirmed(S10). When the air-conditioner is on, a driving speed, the outdoor temperature, and the RPM(Revolution Per Minute) of the driving vehicle are sensed(S20). Whether the vehicle is in an idle state or not is confirmed(S30). Whether the vehicle is an electric mode or not is confirmed when the vehicle is in the idle state(S40). A limitation of the rotation number of an electric compressor depending on a blower stage of the air-conditioner in the idle state and electric mode is calculated(S50,S70,S80).
