JIG FOR TESTING IRON ROUGHNECK TORQUE BEING USED FOR A STABLE DRILLING WORK

PURPOSE: A jig for testing iron roughneck torque is provided to simply grasp the torque of a torque wrench of an iron roughneck mounted in a drillship and to correct a torque value measured by a jig for testing iron roughneck torque by comparing the same with a torque value of the iron roughneck.;CONSTITUTION: A jig for testing iron roughneck torque comprises a sample pipe(1), a torque bar(2), a towing rope(3), a tension meter(4), and a standing rope(5). The sample pipe has diameter same with the diameter of a drilling pipe and is interlocked with a torque wrench of an iron roughneck. The torque bar is projected from one spot of the circumference of the sample pipe, thereby being fixed. One end of the towing rope is joined to the torque bar. One end of the tension meter is connected to the other end of the towing rope. One end of the standing rope is connected to the other end of the tension meter and the other end of the standing rope is fixed to an arbitrary fixing member(6) of a drillship hull.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013;[Reference numerals] (AA) Torque wrench
