PURPOSE: A water guard for a cold and hot water dispenser is provided to block bacteria existing in a water storage tank from flowing into water barrels by sealing an outlet of the water barrels and the water storage tank after the water in the water barrels is discharged to the water storage tank through a water discharge passage.;CONSTITUTION: A water guard for a cold and hot water dispenser comprises a protruded pipe(2), a float(4), and a water discharge control unit. The protruded pipe comprises an air inlet(6a) and a water outlet(6b). The air inlet supplies air into water barrels. The water outlet discharges water in the water barrels. The float ascends and descends according to the water level of a water storage tank installed in the cold and hot water dispenser. The water discharge control unit is installed inside the protruded pipe and controls the discharge of the water from water barrels by linearly moving in a vertical direction according to the ascent and descent of the float.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
