PURPOSE: A laser beam irradiation system for a Thomson scattering plasma diagnosis is provided to improve laser efficiency by arranging plasma formed in a KSTAR(Korea superconducting tokamak advanced research) in a laser cavity. CONSTITUTION: A total reflection mirror(320) is located in one side of the inside of a laser cavity(310). A partial reflection mirror(350) is located in the other side of the inside of the laser cavity. A gain medium(330) is located between the total reflection mirror and the partial reflection mirror. The gain medium releases light by pumping. The total reflection mirror and the partial reflection mirror generate a laser by amplifying the light which is inductively emitted from the gain medium. The laser is irradiated to plasma formed in the KSTAR which is located between the gain medium and the partial reflection mirror.
