PURPOSE: A chemical sensor for detecting cyanide ions is provided to effectively detect cyanide ions by UV/vis spectrum change and color change.;CONSTITUTION: A bisindole derivative has selectivity to cyanide ions and has a structure represented by chemical formula 1. A chemical sensor for detecting cyanide ions includes a bisindole derivative which is anchored on a mesoporous silica nanoparticle represented by chemical formula 3. The chemical sensor is manufactured in the shape of a disk pellet. A method for detecting cyanide ions includes the UV/vis spectrum change or color change of the chemical sensor including the bisindole derivative.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
