PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for propelling a ship are provided to reversely rotate two propellers without an outer shaft and to adjust the angle of a rear propeller blade.;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for propelling a ship comprises a front propeller, a rear propeller(20), a blade rotating part(230), and a control part. The front propeller is rotatably supported on a driving shaft. The rear propeller is fixed on the driving shaft in the back of the front propeller. The blade rotating part is fixed at the bottom of a rear propeller blade. The control part rotates the blade rotating part based on the sailing speed of a ship and the RPM and torque of a driving source to change the angle of the rear propeller blade.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
