PURPOSE: Fried chestnuts and a producing method thereof are provided to secure the unique flavor and taste of chestnuts, and to offer the savory taste and the crunchy texture to eaters. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of fried chestnuts comprises the following steps: slicing chestnuts after peeling into the thickness around 1mm to obtain chestnut slices; dipping the chestnut slices in salt water for 10-20 minutes; removing the moisture from the chestnut slices, and drying the chestnut slices at 55-70 deg C for 10-20 minutes using a drier; frying the dried chestnut slices at 160-180 deg C for 10-30 seconds; and removing excessive oil from the fried chestnut slices.
