PURPOSE: A lightened upper structure of a composite girder bridge having high supporting force and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce construction time by reducing time required for curing concrete. CONSTITUTION: A lightened upper structure(500) of a composite girder bridge having high supporting force comprises multiple vertical reinforcing members(523), a concrete cross beam, and a steel cross beam(524). The vertical reinforcing members are attached on the webs of steel girders(510) to not touch with casing concrete(520) and slab concrete(530). The concrete cross beam is integrally formed in the slab concrete and connects the webs of the steel girders located at the top of piers to each other. The steel cross beam horizontally connects the vertical reinforcing members located at the spans of a bridge to each other.
