The present invention is a method for reducing handover latency when a mobile node moves from a previous access router (Previous AR) to a new access router (New AR) in Mobile Internet Protocol version 6: MIPv6. Whenever a mobile node moves to another access router in IPv6 network, the mobile node needs to go through Duplicate Address Detection (DAD) process, which generates an address to be used in the new access router and checks whether the address is duplicated. This makes it difficult to support seamless services. The present invention provides a neighbor solicitation (Neighbor Solicitation) in which the target node uses the current link local address of the mobile node to a neighboring access router that is movable from the current access router before moving to another access router. The purpose of the present invention is to reduce latency in handover by performing DAD by sending a message).;Mobile IPv6, Handover, Fast Handover, Duplicate Address Detection, Next Generation Internet
