PURPOSE: A color image adjustment method using a transformed image formation model is provided to improve image quality of a display device by forming an adjusted image by using a global illumination component acquired from an input image, a local illumination component and reflection component. CONSTITUTION: A display device acquires a global illumination component by using a Gaussian filter of an input image(S100). The display device acquires a local illumination component by using a JDN-based adaptive filter of the input image(S200). The display device acquires a reflection component from the input image(S300). The display device forms an adjusted image by using the acquired global illumination component, the local illumination component, and the reflection component(S400).
