PURPOSE: A vibration damping device for a drive shaft is provided to enhance the vibration damping performance by generating resistance heat at the predetermined resonant frequency using a shape memory alloy spring as an inner ring.;CONSTITUTION: A vibration damping device for a drive shaft includes a drive shaft(10) which rotates at a high speed to transmit power, and a damper(110) which absorbs the vibration of the drive shaft. The damper includes an elastic block which comprises an outer ring, an inner ring, and an elastic ring. The outer ring is a mass with a predetermined length which is connected to the drive shaft concentrically. The inner ring is arranged concentrically inside the outer ring.
