PURPOSE: A method for a drag input scheme in a touch screen and a recognition method of a joystick based on user input information are provided to adjust drag error by a user, thereby providing an input system which is differentiated upon the user.;CONSTITUTION: The position of a point which a user starts touching on a content area is stored. The initial location and the vector value of the point are calculated during dragging(120). The size and orientation of the calculated vector value are compared(130). Areas of plus/minus 15 degrees from 0 degree, 90 degrees, 180 degrees, and 270 degrees in a downward vertical direction are recognized as top, bottom, left and right. Areas of plus/minus 30 degrees from 45 degrees, 135 degrees, 225 degrees, and 315 degrees are recognized as diagonal left bottom, left top, right top and right bottom.
