PURPOSE: A lysophosphatidylethanolamine derivative and an anti-inflammatory composition containing the same are provided to suppress peritonitis induced by zymosan A in vivo and to enhance anti-inflammatory cytokine(IL-10) generation. CONSTITUTION: A lysophosphatidylethanolamine derivative is denoted by chemical formulas 1-4. A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating inflammatory diseases contains the derivative or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient. The inflammatory diseases are asthma, periodontitis, stomatitis, peritonitis, gastritis, lymphocytic enteritis, arthritis, nephritis, hepatitis, or degenerative diseases. The composition is used as an oral formulation or an injection formulation.
