PURPOSE: An image processing device and an image processing method are provided to correct a loss and expansion of an object in case of rendering a 2D image signal by using depth information.;CONSTITUTION: An image receiving unit(10) receives a 2D image signal including a background and one or more objects. An image processing unit(20) controls a transition area which is corresponded to a boundary between the object and the background among depth information in the 2D image signal.
