PURPOSE: A method for screening a material which prevents or treats biliary tract cancer using a novel molecular marker is provided to screen a therapeutic agent candidate which is specific to biliary tract cancer stem cells or cancer stem cells.;CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material which prevents or treats biliary cancer comprises: a step of contacting a sample with a cell or a tissue containing a protein of sequence number 1 or 3 or a polynucleotide of sequence number 2 or 4; and a step of measuring expression level of the protein or polynucleotide. The protein exists on the cell surface, viral surface, or in an isolated form.
