PURPOSE: A fiber-based gasket for reducing a thermal cell-induced blister is provided to have a gas penetration ratio of 22.5 ml/min/cm^2 or less per unit surface area.;CONSTITUTION: Fiber-based gaskets(102,104,106,108) is located in coupling parts(180,186,189,192) between a first glass manufacturing apparatus(172) and second glass manufacturing apparatuses(150,127,130,140). The fiber-based gasket comprises a fiber-based material. The fiber-based material has a gas penetration ratio of 22.5ml/min/cm^2 or less per unit surface area. The surface area is based on the internal gasket surface area. The fiber-based material reduces a thermal cell-induced blister in the first glass manufacturing apparatus and the second glass manufacturing apparatus. The fiber-based material comprises 0-100% of silica, 0-100% of alumina, 0-100% of zirconia and other oxides with various concentration.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
