PURPOSE: A ferritic stainless steel with a good surface quality and ridging resistance and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to disassemble a rough band structure and to reduce the pitch of a hot rolling board surface, by sufficiently recrystalling the hot rolling texture with hot rolling pressure of a hot rolling rougher higher annealing temperature.;CONSTITUTION: A ferritic stainless steel with a good surface quality and ridging resistance comprises the carbon(C) of 0.02wt%-0.08wt%, the nitrogen(N) of 0.01wt%-0.05wt%, silicone(Si) of 0.01wt%-0.50wt%, the manganese(Mn) of 0.01wt%-0.70wt%, the phosphorus(P) of 0.001wt%-0.035wt%, the sulfur(S) of 0.001wt%-0.005wt%, the chrome(Cr) of 15.0wt%-17.0wt%, the nickel(Ni) of 0.001wt-0.50wt%, the copper(Cu) of 0.01wt%-0.50wt%, the aluminum(Al) of 0.01wt%-0.2wt%, and the rest Fe and other unavoidable impurity, in a % weight. The value of G in an equation of G+10*RC4 is less than 4ea/mm. The value of RC is less than 0.15.
