PURPOSE: A Macaca fascicularis individual-specific polymorphic gene or a complementary sequence thereof is provided to effectively manage Macaca fascicularis in high demand for experiments. CONSTITUTION: A Macaca fascicularis individual-specific polymorphic gene or a complementary sequence thereof has sequence number 1 or 2. A marker for distinguishing a Macaca fascicularis individual or identifying parentage contains the base sequence or complementary sequence thereof. A composition for distinguishing Macaca fascicularis individual or identifying parentage contains a primer or a probe which specifically binds to the base sequence or complementary sequence thereof. The primer contains a primer pair with bases of sequence numbers 3 and 4; or a primer pair with bases of sequence numbers 5 and 6.
